Town Advisory Boards

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission, reviews all comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings and local land development regulations of the Town.  It also sits as the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Membership: Five (5) members and two (2) alternates, all Town residents, appointed by the Town Council.  Terms are for three (3) years.

Meetings: Fourth Wednesday of the month (as needed) at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Greater Lantana School Community Education Council
The Education Council serves as a liaison between the School Board of Palm Beach County and the Lantana Town Council and develops recommendations to present to the Town Council for action on issues concerning the School Board in support of schools in the Greater Lantana community.

Membership:  Five (5) resident members; one (1) member each representing Hypoluxo, Manalapan, South Palm Beach; one (1) member representing the Greater Lantana Chamber of Commerce; one (1) member each from Lantana Elementary, Lantana Middle and Charter schools; one (1) member at large.  Terms are for three (3) years.

Meetings:  Twice a year on the fourth Monday in September and May at 10:00 a.m. at Town Hall. Additional meetings will be announced as necessary.

Notice of Board Vacancies

 The Town of Lantana is accepting applications from interested Lantana residents to fill volunteer positions as a member of the Greater Lantana School Community Education Council. To be considered for appointment, please submit an application to the Town Clerk.  Applications are available by visiting the front counter of Town Hall during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  For further information, please contact Nicole Dritz, Town Clerk, at 540-5016.
