13th Place Water Main Replacement, South Lake Drive Force Main Replacement and Storm water Improvements

This project will replace a 6" water main on South 13th Place that has reached it's useful life. This project will replace a 6" force main that has reached it's useful life from East Central Blvd. on South Lake Drive to Lake Worth Ave. This project will install a new storm water system on South Lake Drive, Milton Street, Prospect Road, South Lake Drive to Euclid Blvd./ Euclid Path.    


** South 13th Place;

All of the new 6" piping and 2 fire hydrants for the water main has been installed and all bacterial testing is completed. We received the Palm Beach County Health Department approval. In the next few weeks the new water main will be put into service as well as the service lines. After the new main is in service the old water main will be abandon in-place and all of the roads and swales will be repaired.

* In the next few weeks the road and swale work will be completed starting December 13, 2018.

** South Lake Drive Force Main Replacement;

All of the new 6" piping for the force main has been installed. We are waiting for the Palm Beach County approval to put the new main into service.

**Storm water Improvements;

The new concrete piping and structures are being installed from Euclid Blvd. south on South Lake Drive to Prospect Road starting the week of September 15, 2018.

The contractor will be installing the storm water system piping and structures for the next two weeks in the area listed above.

*** Approximately 407 Linear Feet of 6 inch Water Main Replacement;

On South Lake Drive from Euclid Boulevard to Lakeside Place, we need to replace approximately 407 linear feet of 6 inch water main that is in the way of the new storm water main. 

**** The week of October 27, 2018 all of the new water main piping was installed. Bacterial testing and Palm Beach County Health Department approval will occur in the few next weeks.

***** The week of December 15, 2018 the drainage piping and structures were installed and the restoration was started. In the next few weeks the road and swale work will be completed.

UPDATE; January 18, 2019:

January 16, 2019; S. Lake Drive, intersection of Lake Worth Ave., Milton Street, Prospect Road and the intersection of Euclid Blvd. have been milled on January 16, 2019 and repaved on January 17, 2019. The restoration of the swales and driveways will continue.   

The project is estimated to be completed by January 28, 2019.

South Atlantic Drive Water Main Replacement

This project will add a new water main from East Ocean Avenue to the dead end of Southeast Atlantic Drive. This will increase the amount of water flowing south from East Ocean Avenue to Southeast Atlantic Drive. This will also increase the amount of water for drinking, irrigation, and fire protection.


Please be advised:

All 6" and 8" piping and 9 fire hydrants were installed.

In the next 3 to 4 weeks the main will be flushed, disinfected, tested for Palm Beach County Health Department approval. The final tie in can be made to bring the new main into service and then the old fire hydrants will be removed.

*** New water mains were turned on for service on December 14, 2018. In the next three to four week the old fire hydrants will be removed and the swales restored. Milling and resurfacing the roadway from the 800 block to the 1400 block of SE. Atlantic drive will start the second week of January 2019.

UPDATE; January 08, 2019:

The milling of SE. Atlantic Drive from the 800 block to the 1400 block will start on Monday January 14th and the resurfacing on Tuesday January 15, 2019.

UPDATE; January 18, 2019:

The milling was completed on January 14, 2019, the repaving is not complete as of January 18, 2019. The swale work will continue next week.
