Ocean Rescue Division
The Lantana Ocean Rescue Division is situated at Lantana Municipal Beach Park, located at 100 N. Ocean Blvd., Lantana, FL 33462. This park is approximately 2.8 miles north of the Boynton Inlet and south of the Town of South Palm Beach and Lake Worth Beach.
Our beach features a combination of loose sand, shoreline rocks, and an offshore reef that shifts regularly due to currents, waves, and storms. Known for its challenging surf conditions, particularly during refraction swells, cold fronts, and hurricanes, our beach is a popular destination for local surfers. Our lifeguards are highly trained to handle these conditions and ensure the safety of beachgoers.
Our headquarters and enclosed tower provide a commanding view of the beach and swimming area. There's ample parking available in two lots, including resident decal, guest, and handicapped spaces. For convenience, a restaurant and bar are located within the park.
Lantana Municipal Beach Park offers a variety of amenities, including an oceanfront pavilion, park pavilion, picnic tables, grills, a playground, a volleyball court, restrooms, and outdoor showers.
To ensure your safety, always swim near a lifeguard tower. If you’re unsure, it’s best to stay out of the water. Our lifeguard towers are staffed every day from 9 AM to 5 PM for your protection and peace of mind.
The Town of Lantana's Ocean Rescue Division is proud to be recognized by the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) as an Advanced Certified Agency, placing our Ocean Rescue program among the top professional lifeguard agencies in the nation. This distinction reflects our commitment to the highest standards of training, equipment, and operational readiness in open-water rescue. All of our Ocean Lifeguards are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for the State of Florida, ensuring advanced medical response capabilities for residents and visitors alike.
