Overview
The Lantana Firefighters' Pension Fund Board of Trustees manages the firefighters' pension fund in accordance with Section 14-103 of the Town's Code of Ordinances. Five trustees serve four-year terms: two are Lantana residents appointed by the Town Council, two are elected by firefighters, and one is chosen by the other trustees with Town Council approval.
Vacancies
The Town of Lantana is seeking qualified residents to fill a vacancy on our Lantana Firefighters' Pension Fund Board of Trustees. This is a resident member volunteer position for a four-year term.
Only residents of the Town of Lantana are eligible to apply.

We will continue to accept applications for the pension board until we have received a sufficient number of qualified candidates.
Pursuant to Article II, Section 5 (a) of the Florida Constitution, dual office holding is prohibited. Accordingly, holding two offices simultaneously within a county or municipality, whether elected or appointed, is strictly prohibited. Therefore, anyone who currently holds a position on a board within the Town of Lantana and wants to apply for another vacant position, would need to be prepared to vacate their current seat if they are appointed to the new one.
