Planning & Zoning
The Development Services Department is responsible for planning and zoning within the Town of Lantana through the administration of the Town Land Development Regulations and Comprehensive Plan.
Planning and zoning responsibilities include:
- Land use regulations, such as parking, setbacks, landscape, and more
- Landscape permits, such as tree removal and landscape plans for new construction
- Development applications, such as requests for variances, special exceptions, rezonings, and more
- Presentations before the Town Planning Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals
- Comprehensive Planning
- Annexation
- Traffic Calming
- Zoning Confirmation
- Swale Permits

- What is my property zoned?

Email Planning and Zoning to request a PDF copy of the Town of Lantana Zoning Map or to request a zoning determination. For information on what is allowed in each zoning district, you may also visit Chapter 23, Article V, District Regulations in the Town Code of Ordinances
- How do I obtain a Zoning Confirmation Letter?

Zoning confirmation letters are provided at a cost of $50 per letter. Please either mail a check for $50 (made payable to "Town of Lantana") with a letter request attached (including the property address, Property Control Number, and contact information of requestor) to the Development Services Department or submit the $50 cash/check payment and the request to our department during office hours.
- What are the setbacks for my property?

To determine the property setbacks, you must first determine the zoning district for your property. Then, reference Chapter 23, Article V and navigate to the section for your specific zoning district. There, you will find the setbacks from the property line for your zoning district.
