Any resident of the Town of Lantana is allowed to conduct two family garage sales per year. To request a garage sale permit, a resident must fill out an application at Town Hall and pay $5. Each garage sale applicant will receive three garage sale signs. Two of the signs are allowed off-premise as long as they are not installed on a state or county road, which includes:
- Lantana Road
- Hypoluxo Road
- US Number 1 (Dixie Highway)
- Ocean Avenue from U.S.#1 (Dixie Highway) to the Beach
The signs are permitted to be displayed for a period of no longer than 48 hours and must be removed immediately after the garage sale has concluded.
