Great news, Lantana residents!
In January 2025, the Town Council unanimously approved a Site Plan for the exciting redevelopment of the former 18-acre Kmart site! This approved plan, led by Integra Investments, is bringing 426 units and over 21,000 sq ft of commercial and open-air dining space to life, designed with a fun, “main-street-like” feel.
What’s Been Happening Since?
While it might not look like much from the outside, staff has been working very closely with the Integra Investments Team on Minor Site Plan Amendments, discussing relocation of current tenants, and focusing on the additional community benefits that the development will provide such as improvements to adjacent bus stops and roadway improvements, working to incorporate additional outdoor seating for an existing tenant, as well as reviewing, approving, and issuing demolition permits.
What's Next?
We are officially moving forward! The Integra team has notified us they plan to begin demolition in the first quarter of 2026. Get ready for wide sidewalks, outdoor dining areas, and a focus on open, pedestrian-friendly spaces so you can truly live, work, and play in our growing Town!
